Most people think the reason they should get pet stairs is to help the furry buddies get on the couch or bed in their old age.  While that is true, if you allow your pets on the furniture, pet stairs can prevent injuries to pets even when they are younger.  If a dog jumps off the couch and lands incorrectly, they risk a multitude of different injuries.  Smaller dogs can injure their back, tear ligaments, pull a muscle or even worse. 

 After coming home one evening, our Boston Terrier, was limping and she would not use her front leg.  We immediately took her to the vet, and he gave her a full work-up including x-rays. He checked for breaks or fractures. He perscribed pain medication and suggested, she may a pinched nerve. The road to recovery was very slow.  It was after she injuered herself that we research and bought our pet stairs.
