Animal cruelty will officially become a federal felony when President Trump signs the PACT Act bill into law this afternoon.
The PACT Act -- which stands for Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture -- was approved by the House and the Senate and is awaiting the Presidents signature.
The bipartisan act, introduced by Florida congressmenTed Deutch (D-Fla.) and Vern Buchanan (R-FL 16th District), will revise a previous law passed in 2010.

Is My Dog Stressed?
Is my dog stressed or sick? How can I tell? Take a good look at your dog. They will show some signs that they are stressed. Check your dogs eyes, just like stressed people, your dog may have dilated pupils and blink rapidly. They may open their eyes really wide and show more sclera (white) than usual, giving them a startled appearance. Next, check their ears, ears that are usually relaxed or alert are pinned back against the head. Check to see if there is any change in her body posture. Is she whining and/or howling? Does she have diarrhea or is she drooling. How about her daily diet, did her appetite increase or decrease at all. Is she having trouble sleeping? Many of these are signs of stress or anxiety in your dog. Not to worry, it's not hard to reduce your dog's stress level.

Today's Muse - Corona Virus
With everything going on at this time, we realize we are turning into our pets,
We are rooming around the house, we check out everything someone is eating and we get very excited for walks
How about you?
Our Boston Terrier and Pug crossed over the rainbow bridge. Needless to say, it was two of the hardest days in our lives. Our Pug, Emma, was taken to the vet and had her end of life care in their office. There was something about that process that made it very hard for us and even almost cold. Now, it was our first lose and to be fair, didn't really know what the process consisted of. When the time came for Allie, our terrier, we knew that we didn't want to go through that experience again. We opted for a veterinarian who performed in home end of life care. While the loss was still painful, the experience was much more pleasing. So, did our girls know they were dying?
